Hey all! First off, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to come and check out my site. With that being said, I'll let you in on who I am and what I'm trying to accomplish with me life.
I grew up in a little dot on the map called Live Oak, Ca. Thanks to growing up on a ranch, I've always had a passion for the outdoors, which is a huge contributor as to who I am today, artistically. I never truly tapped into my artistic capabilities until I started attending CSU, Chico. I took the only class my high school had to offer towards art, which is where I discovered I had a bit of natural talent, but it was uncultivated. Once accepted into Chico State in 2006, my initial major was parks and rec. My goal in this, was to become a game-warden and eventually live out my life in Montana, which I have visited but twice. It was everything I had imagined it to be; wildlife in Montana is rich. Montana was amazing, but the true "awe" wasn't until I visited Glacier National Park at the northern border. A phenomenal, life changing experience. I had never appreciated wildlife so much before... mother nature is a perfect artist, that delivers.
After a couple of years into my college experience, I ended up taking an introduction class to computer assisted art. It was strange as to how natural everything felt for me. The more I played with various art programs, the more I became intrigued by the idea and the process of creating my own art, from my own imagination. I began researching computer art in general, and came to the conclusion that digital art, whether 2d or even 3d, would lead me to a life I would not only enjoy, but get paid doing it. Work and play together? What is this madness?
Now that I have graduated Chico State with a BS in Applied Computer Graphics, I am ready to start earning my place in the world as a digital artist, whether it be through illustration, modeling objects in 3D, or anything else that would be required of me.
As a final note, I would like to thank all my friends and family who have helped as well as motivate me to get where I am today.
